Marion Angell's Family Updates

In Marion's own words for her first family update - Think of this as a tossed salad. Several pages of research from the Landy Zander Book, some update sheets, a handful of news clippings, a few odd photos, a bunch of odds and ends, and there we are. Put together as simply as possibly, add a little dressing, and -- Enjoy! Marion Angell, November 1996
Marion Beryl Farres was born on June 4, 1940, in Macon County, Missouri to Laura Margaret and Marion Lester Beryl Farres. Shortly after meeting a young Air Force recruit, John Wilson Angell, of Woodglen, NJ, they were married in April 1960. The couple spent the beginning of their marriage in Kansas and Missouri. Later the Angells moved to Bloomsbury in Bethlehem Township, NJ, where together they ran and operated Airstream by Angell in Bloomsbury.
Marion enjoyed making and sharing Christmas jellies, tending her flowers, and caring for any one or thing in need, whether two legged or four legged, people, cats, dogs, you name it - Marion's kindness touched all. She had a heart of gold and was genuinely interested in everyone in the family, collecting family "tidbits" as she called them, stories new and old alike, which she dug up or family members shared with her. In 1996, she began circulating these tidbits, along with her family trees, each year adding births, marriages, deaths, and newsy items. Her Annual Update brought family near and far closer together, keeping us in touch with each other. Over the years, many of us have referred to her Family Update as a resource, and the Family Tree on this website was created based upon Marion's research .
Marion Beryl Farres Angell died Jan. 29, 2020, at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ, after suffering a massive stroke.
